Anything you need to know about Filipinos

Philippines was colonized by Spaniards for about 333 years. Could you imagine how long does it take for the native Filipinos to become independent? After an event in the Battle on the Manila Bay, Americans take over the entire country with the promise of so called "Benevolence Assimilation". Sometime in 1942 before the completion of Tydings McDuffie Act of 1934, the World War II happened. It took only 3 years for the Japanese empire to rule over thr entire nation...

Those events are parts of the history that were taught in the basic education.

Filipinos are became very admirable by some nations because of the extra ordinary attitude that they have.

Family ties between Filipinos are very important. They have strong sense of value among the members of the family. Extended family is common practice where the oldest members of the family live together in the same house. Elders are taking care of the family members. That's why home for the aged is not numerous.

Hospitality is innate as a Filipino. They kept this value even they migrate. They want visitors to make very comfortable in any means.

Traditions across the nation are different. Mostly centered on the Saints which rooted back during the time of Spaniards. Some of those festivities which are popular Pinagbenga, Maskara Ati-atihan etc.

Filipinos are very friendly, because they value to spirit of camaraderie.  Majority of life in the Philippines is simple. But, Filipinos cherish the simplicity of it.
